Clear terms. Fair for both sides.

Before we start building together, here is how WebCrest Solutions works: what you can expect from us, what we need from you, and how payments, revisions and ownership are handled.

1Acceptance of terms

These terms apply to our website and to every service WebCrest Solutions provides, including WordPress development, UI/UX design, business websites and e-commerce stores. By using the site, requesting a quotation or paying an invoice, you confirm that you have read and accepted them.

If a signed agreement or written proposal for your project says something different, that document wins for your project. Everything else follows this page.

2Our services

We design and build websites and online stores, and we can maintain them after launch. Each project is described in a written quotation that lists:

  • What we will deliver (pages, features, integrations).
  • The price and how it is split into payments.
  • An estimated timeline.

Anything outside that list is extra work. We will explain it and agree on the cost with you before we begin.

3How a project works

Most projects follow the same path: you tell us about your business, we send a quotation, you confirm it and pay the first instalment, and then we move through planning, design, development, testing and launch. Work starts once the quotation is accepted and the first payment has cleared.

We keep you updated at each stage so there are no surprises at the end.

4What we need from you

A website moves fast when the client is ready. Please:

  • Send your logo, text, images and other content on time, and make sure you have the right to use them.
  • Give clear feedback in one consolidated message per round, rather than scattered comments.
  • Share hosting, domain or admin access through private channels only.
  • Name one person who can approve work on your behalf.

If content or feedback is delayed, the launch date moves by the same amount of time.

5Pricing and payments

All prices are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless the quotation says otherwise.

StageUsual arrangement
AdvancePaid before work starts, to reserve our time. Normally 50% of the project price.
MilestoneLarger projects may have a payment after design approval.
Final paymentDue before the website goes live or files are handed over.

Invoices are payable within the period stated on them. Work may be paused if a payment is overdue. The advance covers planning and design time already reserved for you, so it is not refundable once work has started.

6Timelines

Delivery dates in a quotation are estimates based on a complete brief and prompt replies. A typical business website takes a few weeks, while a larger e-commerce store takes longer. We will tell you early if something puts the schedule at risk.

7Revisions and changes

Each project includes a fixed number of revision rounds, stated in your quotation (usually two rounds per design stage). A revision means adjusting what was already agreed: colours, spacing, wording, image swaps.

New pages, new features or a completely different direction after approval count as a change request and are priced separately.

8Domains, hosting and third-party costs

Domain names, hosting, premium themes, paid plugins, stock images, payment gateway fees and email services are paid to their providers, and they are not included in our price unless the quotation says so.

These providers have their own terms, and we cannot control their pricing, availability or downtime. Where we buy something on your behalf, we will tell you the cost first and the account stays in your name wherever possible.

9Ownership and intellectual property

Once the full payment is received, you own the final design and content created specifically for your website. Until then, ownership stays with WebCrest Solutions.

  • WordPress, themes, plugins and fonts are covered by their own licences, which continue to apply.
  • Our reusable code, tools and methods remain ours.
  • You are responsible for the content you provide and confirm that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
  • Unless you ask us not to in writing, we may show the finished project in our portfolio and social media.

10Support after launch

After launch we fix bugs in our own work free of charge for a short period stated in your quotation. Beyond that period, updates, backups, security checks, content changes and new features are covered by a maintenance plan or charged per task.

Problems caused by outside changes, such as a plugin update, a hosting change or edits made by someone else, are not included in free support.

11Confidentiality

We keep your business information, logins and files private and use them only for your project. We expect the same from you regarding our proposals, pricing and work in progress. Please read our Privacy Policy to see how personal data is handled.

12Limits of responsibility

We build carefully and test before launch, but no website can be guaranteed to be free of errors or always online. We do not promise specific results such as search rankings, traffic or sales.

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost data.

13Cancellation

You may cancel a project at any time by submitting a written request to [email protected]. If cancellation occurs before work begins, payments will be refunded less any approved, non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred. If work has started, the refund will be calculated by deducting the value of completed work and any approved, non-recoverable third-party costs from the amount paid. The advance payment is not automatically forfeited.
If WebCrest Solutions is unable to complete a project, we will refund the unearned portion of the payment. Refunds will be initiated within 10 working days after written confirmation of the refund amount, normally to the original payment method. Bank or payment gateway processing may take additional time. We may also suspend or terminate a project for overdue payments, repeated unreasonable changes to the agreed project brief, or unlawful requirements. In such cases, we will provide notice and deliver the work paid for, subject to the agreed terms. These terms do not limit applicable consumer rights.

14Using this website

You may browse and share our website for lawful purposes. Please do not copy our designs or text, attempt to break into the site, send spam through our forms, or use automated tools to harm its performance. We may block access if these rules are broken.

15Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction. We will first try to settle any disagreement through a friendly conversation.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and projects already underway continue under the terms they started with.
